Still against a Truth...

Something started with a reason, 3 years ago, and the reason is now no longer available. I have been thinking that for few days about what to write to publish on 28th November as it will be 25th post in Due Dreams and that too on completion of its 3rd year. Its no longer a duty for me to write whatever I think and sometimes want to think but its altogether a sort of creation that has been growing for years and that sometimes make me find answers that I had already answered to me and my readers from time to time in the past. Its more or less a reflection of my thoughts, which at time come out to be a combination of problems and their solutions and these solutions may or may not be the best of its type but that is something best that I can think and suggest, to myself and to everyone.
Its like I thought of living well and to help every individual to live well and in a well defined way so that we do not deviate from the path on which we are supposed to walk. Sometimes I think how different we all have become since the time we passed our last exam in school or college. In school or college we were forced to study, we were made to complete our assignments anyhow, no matter how many movies we missed, how many celebrations we had to loose and how many time we had to change our plans when we did not want to do what we were asked to do. There was a time when learning and studying was our only aim, either forced or thought of, we have to do that. We never had to bother about how heavy lunch we just had, we have to go and attend the sessions and coaching classes, irrespective of the fact we are feeling sleepy or not. We used to sleep late not because of any evening show or late night movies but to complete our assignments and homework so as to score good marks in class tests, or any exam. When our only achievement was when we got good marks and not when we had a good appraisal. Reaching school or college in time was our only task in the morning, with all well washed and ironed clothes and polished shoes.
Now the life has changed, we have time to check out for new releases coming every Friday, we now want to  be at the top of our work, irrespective of the fact we had worked that hard or not. People have strictly started following the saying that "Smart work is much better than Hard work." and this has somehow developed a tendency in us to avoid working hard and find out someone whom they can make work hard on their behalf and earn credit of their part, leaving them feel that their hard work has gone waste. This when happens again and again, makes the people loose faith in their hard work and bound to develop a skill that can use someone else in the same way they have been used in past. We no longer have that dedication to reach office on time and its because, by the time we gain experience in any work, we know what to say in which situation, to make ourselves safe. We prefer being stylish over being decent. We want to rest at weekends when we are asked to come to office for some urgent work but our obvious answer to any morning show, the same day, is always "yes". This is because movies are no longer a source of entertainment or knowledge but are now a source of learning new habits about how the Hero lived and fought in the movie.  We now have big goals but when it comes to work for them, we see if we want to study or not and we are often not in a mood to open a book for it. We do it only if we feel like. We wear the same dress again and again till the time it does not appears dull and polish our shoes only when we have to attend some party. In all other days, we leave our shoes as they are.
We see that previously we had non-AC classrooms where we used to read and write whole day and gain knowledge in any possible way. We had same old fashioned canteen where we spent our coins with great calculation and we were treated in a normal way so everything we gained, we actually earned it. But now, we work in AC rooms, and we have good quality tea/coffee machines and we are treated like gentlemen before actually we have started working. This somehow makes us get inhabited of getting things very easily. We want to get all our things on a single phone call but we do not want to visit any shop or workshop. We want the bank person to visit our office and do our job so that we don't have to struggle for our debit or credit cards. More and more things getting online have made our live easier and thus we no longer have the passion of working for each and everything we get and we have.
So the basic difference in the life we had many years back and now is that previously we have to earn each and everything for us, right from any person's behavior to any service or getting any work done whereas now we get things so easily that we think we do not have to work hard for anything in our life. People now have to put so many posts on social networking sites but do not have time to spend some time with their parents.

To conclude, I would like to say that we all have complaints for everyone saying or thinking that this or that person has changed but we never know how much we ourselves have changed. Its very easy to point out when some other person commits a mistake but we sometime never come to know what we have done. Sometimes there is no one's mistake and we go on blaming someone for it. We should understand that time ha changed for everyone of us and we are not like that anymore. However the feelings have remained the same for everyone we know but the way of expression has changed. We have become more practical than ever and so we think with other's mind and do what other's suggest us to do, considering it to be right. The act of being practical is given much more importance than any relation in today's life. We can easily give up any relation nowadays but cannot give up our attitude of being a practical person because we feel it completes us and makes us brave enough to face any difficulties in life. Being practical means preparing ourselves for every situation in our life based on some other person's experience and applying the same solution again and again, irrespective of the fact where we are applying it.

This practical thought is sometimes the reason for all problems in our life. We see and treat every person the same way and forget that every person is different from others. To be frank, I do not believe in being practical, though life has every now and then made me believe that being practical is very necessary and a good solution to almost every problem in our life.

Well, I am still against this truth. I still think different.

The Act.

An Act of Kindness is sometimes not expected from anyone. Sometimes even the person or the people who are quite close to us are not expected to do good to us, beyond a certain level. We call our friends as our best mates or the people who know us more than anyone else in the world and in the same way they also consider us one of the most important person in their life but when it comes to a favor, that favor is often evaluated, whether the person who did that should have done it or not.
This certainly does not happen every time we do for our best people but the situations sometimes make us or them believe that how come that person do this for me. We expect a generic behavior from the people whom we only know, a certain good behavior whom we consider good and expect a lot from people whom we consider best. So far in my life, I have seen this happening but have not been able to make out why this happens. Friendship or any relationship is not dependent on any distance and its not me who is saying this, its a quite general saying but in actual, distance has been playing an important role in deciding the life of any relationship. It can affect any relation that exists in the world, if not completely then at least partially.
If I have to judge people those exist in the world, on the basis of what they actually are rather than what they pretend to be sometimes or most of the times, I would say that there are some people who change up to a certain expected extent in their life and others change beyond a certain expected level. In almost all the cases the distance do not affect the people who do not change beyond expected level in their life. For everyone else, the distance factor always has a role to play. Distance is not a factor laid by God that can change any relation or in other words a bond between two people because if it was, it can be very easily predicted about the change in nature or behavior of anyone beyond an expected level.
So what it is, what actually makes us believe that the things are no longer like they used to be. What makes someone change their perception for the other person in the way that the mutual understanding or the facts on which they share some relation, becomes weak by the passage of  time. They no longer feel that the other person's presence is still required in their life and so far they have not been able to know this because he or she has been there with them. There is a very basic need in any relationship. Its something that both of the people involved in it do not expect things or their surroundings to change out of their will. But things change as we cannot control the outer world. Change in the faces that we see around us, the culture that we follow, the lifestyle that we live in, all these things tend to change our perception towards life. This eventually brings out that something different from within us that was hidden inside us for a long-long time because we never thought so. We try to see the world with new eyes. We expect the other person to understand this and consider that its just a total new experience for them and hence any deviation in their nature and behavior will not be taken too seriously as it is expected  to be a temporary change. Relations also depend on how much faith we have in each other. If we truly believe the other person, we can better understand them but if there have been some sort of misunderstandings amongst them from ever, the things may go tough.
Every relation demand some decency in some or the other form. If the relation is between people of opposite gender, this part becomes more sensitive. Both have to take care that they do not interfere in things that could affect this decency. A bit of transparency and extra care can help a lot here. But again, this has to be taken care from both  the sides equally.
It also depends upon the relationship which two people share. If its just knowing each other, the concerns, sharing of thoughts and experiences and give and take of advises will be considered accordingly. If the people involved are very close friends, the same advises and thoughts will be considered more seriously than otherwise be.
I believe that misunderstandings can enter in any relationship, be it a friendship or any other relationship. It depends upon mutual understandings of the people involved that how they are able to deal with all the different situations that come to them in their life, how well they are able to find solutions to the various problems that occur between them and most important how long they are able to maintain the respect and dignity of the relation that they share.
In my opinion, there is no shortage of people in the world but yes there is a huge shortage of true relations in the world. If you have people truly closed to you and really bother for you, its always good to give them equal attention which they deserve. Being humans, we all have an unwanted nature of taking things for granted but how we show this to others, matters a lot. So even if few people are of lesser importance to you but the other person is true to you, do not show that you take them for granted even if you do because you never know when you will loose gems while running after stones.

The Alternatives.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention. This is sufficient to bring out the various Alternatives in our life. My reason for picking up this topic is to discuss the intention behind the Alternatives that arise in our life. I believe that an Alternative means something that can replace something else that is more useful to us. I personally do not believe in alternatives, because they somehow decrease the value of something that we call Original. I know it means being impractical but I love being so.
From time to time, life gives us many things and many people. I seriously cannot think of people who take people for things so that's the reason of me mentioning them separately. I had my things which I consider as an essential part of my life because they were with me when I needed them. We call such person who remains with us in times of need as true person, then why not we consider our things to be that important. I enjoyed rain when I was driving my two-wheeler, I enjoyed chatting when my laptop was with me, I enjoyed music when my IPod/mobile phone was with me but cannot think of a reason when we do not give them the importance that they deserve. We enjoy our things and when time comes we never hesitate replacing them with things better than them. We sometimes consider other things to be more useful to us just because people  advice us so but for some questions in the world, there are no answers.
I had many people in my life to whom I have been very dear to. Many have been with me for a long time and few have left as and when the time changed. I never regret anything that goes out of my life for a genuine reason but have always regretted for things and people that go out from my life for non-genuine reasons. Its because they occupy some space within me and thus create a vacant space when they leave. At that time, I accept their departure with full respect. Departure with a fight or an argument reduces the possibility of that person or thing coming back into our life. Today, finding alternatives is considered a lot more easy to retain old things and people.
We all know how much our possessions are important to us, how much our near and dear ones mean to us. But sometimes we do not think before hurting them, sometimes considering them Taken for Granted. I believe the act of taking things for granted is a part of human nature which we all have but how you do it your way matters a lot. To understand this, just imagine that if something is taken for granted for you, there may be a chance that you are taken for granted for someone else and may be that person is so good that he or she is not letting you know this. This is truly appreciable. I accept that I have also done this in my life but proud to say that I have done it my way and I have done well.
If we have such important things with us which are of such a great value, how can we call something else as its Alternative? Creating alternatives shows how much practical you are and I personally believe being practical is nothing but a shortcut to solving your problems. When sometimes we want to escape from our problems, we become practical and then think as if the problem has been solved, cleverly. There's a difference between Intelligence and Cleverness. Intelligence is when you consider all the aspects of a problem and solve it. Cleverness means when you ignore the portions of a problem which you are not so good at and pretend to have solved whole problem when actually have solved only a part of it.
In my opinion, being intelligent is more important than being clever.
To conclude, I think we all should try our best to retain the original people and things in our life. We have issues with many things and many people but that doesn't mean we loose them or let them loose us. Looking into every aspect of problems that come across us and solving them with all calmness and mutual understanding is the best thing to do. The more we decrease the possibility of alternatives in our lives, the more we will find our-self happy and a lot more satisfied and believe me, there's actually no alternative to self-satisfaction.

My wish... My Country

I am not sure what to say to a child who wants to do something for his country in support to what our Annaji has with him for the welfare of the nation because he is too young to understand the actual issue for which many have stood up as one. We understand what is right and what is wrong, though many grown ups are still not supporting him. People of all age who were able to gather at the place where Annaji is fasting are there and who are not able to reach that place are supporting him in their own way and so considering the effort of a small child who is there in disguise of Hanuman, and many more like this, as a small effort is not fare. Every such feeling towards the big movement should be considered equal. Today being a weekend, many movies are coming on the entertainment channels but everyone is interested in listening to news related to our great Annaji. This shows a good sign that people are at least aware of what is going on, who were not interested in the same things when it was discussed on a very small scale. The same thing when being discussed and addressed in huge scale, has become the center of attraction for everyone. People now think that something will definitely happen, and hopefully for something good.
Somewhere I think that was it necessary for a person who is now 75 years of age to take such a big step towards something that is actually polluting the whole country and has grown up so fast that even the power of education seems lesser than the power of corruption. May be he has been the person most affected by it but it is not necessary that one should wait for the same to happen to him as well and then he would raise his voice against this evil. Many hands have raised up with him during his fast while rest are still in dilemma whether he is right or not. Out of them, a few are even planning to make their own benefit out of it.
The problem here is the people, who will be punished once this bill is passed, they individually think that their future is going be in dark. I think that they are not able to make out the clear picture of India once it will be free from corruption and that is the reason why they have a fear in them. This fear is not letting them to accept that they are wrong. So, they are trying to weaken this movement.
We all agree that whatever we do wrong in our lives, we have to face the results in our lives and most probably in the same birth. When no one is watching them do something wrong, God is watching. They pray to God and say to have believe in the almighty but they do not think that they will be punished one day or the other for the sins that they have committed or might be they think like that but they do not want to change it. My question is when they know all this, then why they not add something good in the country which produces bread which they and their family eat, which has given them right to call them-selves a citizen of a country that has a glorious past and may have a glorious future as well if things go right.
Country, at present, does not need a group or "me" and "me" living well but a united "us" to live well. It needs  to maintain the respect of rules and regulations that are mentioned in our constitution and adding in it various bills that are for the welfare of it's every citizen along with thorough revision from time to time. It needs its youth to understand that they are constitute a big portion of power of the nation because they will be the future of it, Media to take responsibility to present the movement in the desired way and not to focus on other irrelevant events or news when such a bit movement is going on, and corporate world to support such movements.

I wish the movement should go on until corruption is not totally removed from our country. My best wishes are with the team and their great idea of removing this evil from all parts of our nation.

When Masters go wrong...

To be very frank once more, I never decided all "whats" of my life but I always worked on all "hows" of them. Any good or bad situation in our life may or may not decide the upcoming "what" for us but its always upto us to decide the "how" for it. The society seems to be concentrated only on the results of anything we do and not how it is done. It is always expected that things are done as and how they are taught to be but that's not the fact always. There are people who do it in their own way. This decision of making things happen in  their own way makes the action new and unique which in turn gives rise to a new thought. Such new thoughts can introduce various changes in the society we live in.

There are in-numerable examples before us if we see. Mahatma Gandhi started Dandi March which was against English rule and was a unique decision taken by him. No one else under those circumstances would have taken such a step. We have a recent example of Anna Hazare who is firm on his motive for what he has decided. Its not like there are no revolutionaries in India at present. Yes there are but this idea came to him only. My motive of writing this is not to give more examples like this or to say that one should always take such unexpected steps always. An unexpected step taken by anyone, with good intention and for something good, is always appreciated but thinking that everytime we have to take equally unexpected step can mislead us and our motive.

We live in a world where we all have our bosses. Right from a peon to a manager, everyone has their boss. We are directed by them for anything that we have to work upon. We consider that our Boss is always right and this is the most common attitude in most of us. But if we look on it closely, it is not correct always. Afterall he is also human and humans have tendency of making mistakes but we consider the ideal condition that he makes no mistakes. This is wrong. I believe its everyone's responsibility to raise a point whenever our boss commits a mistake. Under no circumstances a wrong decision should be taken by boss when he is working with people who know the importance of a decision and the results of a wrong decision. I cant believe that every Boss wants a chorus of "Yes Sir" everytime he says something or takes a decision.

Even the decisions related to any particular employee should not be blindly followed without knowing the each and every aspect of it. It may be possible that the expected result behind any decision is told to us but the way of doing it lies with us only. One can do a job in the trained way only whereas someone else can do it with more interest and showing his own dedication with his or her own unique ways of doing it. In case of a work being done in trained way, the expected results can come to us but will not have any chance of any improvement in it. Whereas, if the same job is done in a unique way that differs from person to person, it can bring unexpected results. If we see, there will be lesser chances of failure in it because the person doing it knows that its new and he is responsible of whatever happens after this so he will not ignore any areas of improvement in it. This will make his efforts more accurate and result oriented.

If I am to define what Master is, I would say that a master is someone who believes more in his theories than the people who work for him. But on the other hand he believes in the people for whom he works, more than his own theories. This is because theories have a well planned way of handling every possible situations that may come in their life. They think to have a perfect and well written responses for any situation or problem that arises in their professional life and so that have to think less. What I believe is, theories should only be applied in times of need only. 24*7 implementation of theories will lead to dis-satisfaction amongst everyone. Theories are always written based on different scenarios that have taken place in past and are written to take a decision under a given set of situations. But the situations cannot be the same everytime. So somewhere or the other, the theories fail to explain the situation and thus fail to provide a solution to it. In my views, a theory should only be referred, not always applied.

In recent times, I have seen much dis-satisfaction amongst people saying that their efforts have not been well appraised in terms of salary. This feels very bad when it happens to us. We sometimes try to depreciate our performance but I am strictly against any such act. The reason is, by deprecating our performance, we are actually spoiling ourselves which will not heel us but will make us someone which we never wanted to be. I believe one should continue  to work in his own way and try to discover more ways of doing things in his or her own way. Try finding the tasks where you did not apply something special from your side. Try to take the training as a theory and consider it as an option and do something your way. That will give you more confidence in yourself and you will realise that the mis-happening has actually improved you.

Living the Dreams...

Don't let your profession kill your dreams. Our dreams are part of our identity as they define us. Try to remember, long back ago, when those few words that our ears actually followed while rest thousands were following our ears. Just think of that something which we had once planned for ourselves when even we have not attached our basic requirements, that we need for living, with them. Everyone is special in themselves and has his or her own talent in which he can do wonders. If we are able to make out them in time, we can make them our profession otherwise our profession may become something else. Its quite obvious that the results will differ if we compare simply doing something and doing something at which we are simply the best.
We all know the fact that the increase in competition and necessity for job has made many of us do something at which we are not so good at but still we try our best there as well to prove ourselves. A person who has the ability to become a good singer, can be found working at someplace where his talent will never be evaluated. Though that person will be dedicated to his work because that is his source of income and there are people who are dependent on it. He has to develop his interest in that field despite of his actual interest which lies in something else. He may or may not get time for his talent but he will always have a dream of becoming a good singer. I can not say whether he will be able to become what he wanted or not but can say that somehow his profession is killing his dreams. In this conditions, he may or may not live a happy and comfortable life because he is not what he actually is but he is what he has to become for his profession.
On the other hand if we see examples like Sachin Tendulkar whom we all know. He is a famous cricketer because he knew that he can do well in this field. He started his career with cricket, continued with it and is doing extraordinary well in it. We see the difference quite clearly how a talent can make one live the way one actually wants to be. We have read his success stories from many sources and we are no more dependent on any specific source of information for this as even a daily public gossip can tell us about this great man. I really felt proud to hear the name "Sachin" when our tour guide wished to know from all of us the name of our favorite cricketer at Lords Cricket Ground, London.
I do not mean to say that people who are not in profession matching with their talent should divert their focus  to some other direction. I only mean that one should not leave his or her talent, the talent that is with him or her since birth because this is something where a person can do wonders with least training and efforts. Remember... Perfect people are not trained perfectly, they make their training perfect with their efforts. Our talent is something that makes an identity for us, an identity which is ours only and no one can compete with us if we come to know it true value. People may or may not get time for this something special but we should get some time for it in which we can do something that we always wanted to do without any fear, any pressure or any boundation. Such moments of life will definitely bring a lot of self-satisfaction, peace and harmony in our life and will definitely make us feel out of this world.
Life looks good when we see it from our eyes, food tastes good when we eat it from our hands, and so we feel good when we do what we actually want to do. If not always, we can at least try something for us for sometime just to make us feel we are still alive.

Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish... in words of Due Dreams

There's always a difference between the creator and the creation. The best example of it are we, the humans, who can be partial at times but God cannot be. In this post of Due Dreams, I would like to explain my understanding of what Steve Jobs once said in a speech given at the Stanford University in 2005. May be its not the exact meaning of what he actually meant to say but its only my perception of his phrase "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish". In one line if I say why this means a lot to me... its quite inspirational for those who want to do something exceptionally good in their life but the path is not very clear, and thus its inspirational to me. I will be using the word "Hunger" for different situations. Lets see how much I am able to describe what I actually want to.

Its never like that a person does not struggle in his or her life and struggle can be for anything. Struggle can be for his living, for his or her loved one's better living, education, for living for others (unknown people), for achieving expertise in something or for some other thing or reason. There is a long list of these things which depends from person to person. We see that in some cases, the person does not get time for himself i.e. to look after himself. He may have to work whole day and night simply to bring out some results from his struggle. He may be or may not be able to earn something for himself or the people who are dependent on him. Thus such people remain hungry. This hunger sometimes last for small time while sometimes it lasts for a longer period of time. These people remain hungry somewhat due to their destiny or for their thinking but they are not always supposed to.

There is still a very large number or I should say huge mass of people who rely more on their hard work rather than a smart work. Mostly the people who are not literate have this issue with themselves. Due to the lack of good or favorable conditions in which they live or have lived for a long time, they never got time to think that there could be better and more efficient ways of living as compared to what they are currently living. They still do not think big and in-fact they do not even try for that. I used to think that this thinking is limited to villages only but this can be seen at many places in cities also. Not even this, this is not profession limited as this can be seen in any profession. This does not result in providing them in getting true outcome of their work and thus they are not able to get what they deserve. These people remain hungry due to their lack of initiative and ongoing thinking which they never thought to revise, I have never been in favor of changing the way we think but time to time revision of thoughts is always necessary.

In the 7th part of Due Dreams "Relationships... Waiting", I talked about relationships and their importance to us. Do we know that few of the relations or relationships do not last long and this happens because, at times, considering the other person to be very dear to us, we often ignore their big or small mistakes thinking that the other person will realize it one day. When this expected thing happens, the relation or relationship grows but if this does not happen for any reason, relations get weaker day by day. Now this depends upon the relation whether it eventually breaks up or not. The period that we spend in waiting for the other person  to realize for his or her mistakes is said to be a waiting period and that is what I actually meant by putting "Waiting" in its title. The vacant space that gets created when that other person leaves always remains as it is and the person who is left, now has a lack of a person in his life that he or she has missed. This vacant space can be considered as hunger for the left-out person as he is lacking something now which was with him or her earlier. These people remain hungry because they never give a second thought to their relations. Time has to change always and this fact cannot be denied but a change in person can take anytime and thus with this change, a change of thought for that person becomes equally important. If we are able to give a second thought, things can become better and better else things will go worse. Now we see that every person has his or her emotions attached to their relations which may or may not allow any person to take a decision of leaving the other person though the other person may leave him or her. We can say that there is a change in the thinking of someone but cannot deny the change that has taken place but despite of several reasons, no one takes anyone's place in anyone's life.

As a personal example that I can give over here is a very old incident of my college-time when I was supposed to develop a computer program that involved pretty much use of graphics which was very much new to me that time. I tried and tried a lot but could not succeed. Finally one evening I gave up and was about to call my friend telling him that its impossible for me. But no sooner that I dialed the number to call him, there was a power failure and I had to disconnect the call and had to divert my mind in the current situation. That made me feel that its God's indication to me to give it a one more try. I did and I succeed. Though it was not finally selected  to be presented before the judges, for some reason, it was very much appreciated by my team mates. Since then, I believe that whenever we are about to give up, God sometimes give us indication which gives us enough strength to give it one more try, a more powerful try, irrespective of whether you will succeed or not but it will definitely boost your morale. Similarly, there is a solution to every problem in life if we give it a try. The only reason why many of our problems go unsolved is the lack of the number of attempts from our side that the problem actually requires to solve it.

According to me, Steve never meant to say that being hungry is not a good thing but the situation where you continuously have to remain hungry is not what should actually happen. Every person has some or the other skill in themselves which is enough to make him live a meaningful life and that should solve their problems which is here referred to as "Hunger". "Hunger" due to destiny, emotions, inadequate thinking or perception is mainly because of a period of time in which a sequence of wrong decisions are taken by us, for any reason, which result in making the situations worse than they are at any point of time. Thinking out of box is not always possible for everyone as many people don't even know what it actually means but at least we can give it a try to find every possible solution to our problems and try to implement it. One can consult to any number of people but final decision should be ours only.

Try trying with a believe in yourself will never lead to a failure... but remember to be honest with yourself, your decisions and your goals.

Me, London... me there and myThings.

With mind full of curiosity and excitement to know answers to several questions that used to arise in my mind, sometimes about about why things are different and what makes it different for a developing country and a developed country, I was looking forward to visit a new place. It was London, a city famous for its historic significance and many more things which I came to know when I reached there. It was Sunday and I reached the place where I had to stay, at midnight. The next day it was my office so was all prepared to create my presence there. Frankly I did not know how will be my next day. Only thing I knew was that everything happens for good and it did.
After few days, I was introduced with someone whom I had known only by name till that time but I was personally meeting her for the first time. It was an evening when I was introduced to her but as she had to leave within few minutes, the meeting was small, but I received a mail in which I was personally welcomed by her. That was a real good welcome for me.
I remember what my people said to me before I left for London. My friends were excited and my family was a bit worried as it was my first time. I knew I will be having new challenges waiting for me but things went fine as I was not alone. My arrangements for living and all was done by my friends cum colleagues in  the same project. It was my first time when I was living with so many people belonging to different regions of my country. At my accommodation, I tried to understand what they say and how they understand our regional language as they are not used to listen all that. We shared our regional dishes with each other. Every group-cooked food was welcomed and eaten with great pleasure.
My first visit to London was just an experience of living outside my own country which was somewhat boring as I was expecting many things but I felt that the weather at that time was not that happening as I had expected it to be. It was very cold and my daily routine also got changed.
Though it was initially for 8 weeks only, I visited some of the places of attraction in London that include Madame Tussauds, Lords cricket ground, Science Museum and a few more places. I bagged a lot of things for my family and dear friends and lots of chocolates which was quite eagerly expected to be brought by me.
I returned back to India somewhere at the end of March with an information that I will have to come back to London after 3 weeks. Somewhere in my mind I did not want to come back to London again but as I come to know from one of my friend (at that time) that UK looks awesome from months starting April and so I wished to see the summers in London.
It was a very nice time that I have in India when I came back as I was welcomed by my family, off-course, and all of my friends and colleagues (and chocolates and gifts were not the only reason for this :D). I enjoyed north Indian food which I was missing in London, along with lots of sweets which I desperately used to miss there too. I knew I had to return back to London but now I was happy as I have met almost everyone whom I was missing there.
My enthusiasm was much more when I traveled London second time. I knew days will be longer, weather will be my favorite as I love summers and my all office friends were already there so was all set for a memorable re-visit.
This time when I reached there, I could see trees loaded with flowers and sunlight falling on them that made me feel that coming days, infact months, will be full of all what I have planned for. In short, I loved my re-visit. I enjoyed my work, being at office with my friends and colleagues and clients. I made many new friends  in my office with whom either I used to work with or meet frequently for any reason. I attended several parties there and witnessed the way those people used to celebrate their occasions and festivals. Though it was quite different as we do in India, it was quite interesting as well.
Things were already going well when it came the day of my B'day and that added a lots of happiness into my life. I was expecting a celebration but as everything happened as usual that day, I silently got into my bed at night. But... as the clock ticked 11:30 in the night, I could hear some footsteps in my room, coming towards me. I woke up and see all my friends were there. They picked me from my room in dark and took me to the kitchen where they all have planned my b'day celebration at midnight. It was amazing to see my people caring for me to arrange a nice b'day cake and a nice party for me. It was really nice and I cut the cake and had a free facial too. A day after, I saw my landlord bringing lots of sweets (Indian sweets) along with large size cake on which my name was written along with one more person with whom I shared my B'day. It was a second celebration of my B'day and no one else but I could see my happiness increasing to so many times.
My friends from India also wished me on my B'day.
Last but not the least, I had a fabulous Diwali in London. Fortunately me along with my room-mates shifted to a new place to live and we got chance to celebrate Diwali in a newly furnished home, which is itself considered to be lucky. On Diwali, we were told that we can leave by 4 in the afternoon to celebrate Diwali.  I was already done with my shopping for Diwali and it was all set to celebrate it by worshiping Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and lighting earthen lamps. We did that and eat lots of sweets as well. Finally we went to an Indian restaurant for dinner. It was a great day indeed. The next day we distributed some Diwali sweets in office too to share our happiness with everyone.
As Winters were coming, I was desperately waiting for a snowfall as I came to know that it happened a lot last time. We had a long weekend during Christmas time... and I could see whole of the city decorated with Christmas tree and other decorations that made the whole city glittering like gold. We were invited into the Christmas party arranged by our clients. I was given the responsibility of collecting some famous dance numbers from Bollywood that could be played in our Christmas party. The party was awesome and I enjoyed a lot. I danced like anything and was appreciated for my Robot dance :D. I realized how funny it all was when a friend of mine shared me the video of it. It was quite a nice and memorable party. Memorable also because my legs pained badly for next few weeks due to my excess of dance in Christmas party :D.
I knew I had to return back to India in month of January, I was waiting for snowfall as it generally happen in months of December - January. Unfortunately, the snowfall did not happen till the time I was there. The new year came and I still waited for a snowfall.
And yes how can I forget "Kuhu"... a sweet little baby girl of my friend Shantanu, who lived with us for a month. I still remember we purchased a soft toy for her to play with as we were meeting her for the first time. She was loved by everyone of us and we all miss her now. I used to play with her a lot, though she always started crying when I took her in my hands but I tried every possible way to make her laugh.
I had to do a lots of shopping this time as I was returning back after a long time. I purchased a lot of gifts and chocolates for my family and friends.
The day 15th January when I had to leave London, I felt that I am leaving a place where I lived for almost a year and knew that I will be missing it a lot. On one hand I was happy to return to my own country, and on the other hand I was somewhat sad as I have made a lot of friends over there, whom I knew I wont be able to meet them ever again.
Things happen for a reason. I have been there because I had these many things written for me in a chapter of my book of life. These things were to happen so I was there away from my home. As a collection of several happy moments and a few sad moments, the memories of my being there will always remain there with me.
Me, London, me there and myThings was written on a request of one of my friend. I think I have written all what I wanted to.
